Central Government Pensioners Welfare Association Kashmir (Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir)
To provide a common platform to the pensioners and family pensioners domiciled in Kashmir, to interact amongst themselves, and to project their problems to the concerned agencies/authorities, for their overall welfare.
To identify, plan and execute programmes for a dignified, secure and constructive post-retirement life for the pensioners and their families by setting up reading rooms, libraries, hostels/ day care homes and other facilities in the Association and in collaboration with Central & State Govt welfare agencies.
To undertake programmes and projects of social nature, including educative and inspirational programmes and seminars, and recreation for pensioners, family pensioners and their families, etc.
To serve as a conduit and facilitator for placement of retired professionals, experts in different disciplines, including but not limited to agriculture, forestry, environment, human resource development, as well as development planning in general, etc.
To help newly retired persons in their settlement of Pension Cases, and enrolment for membership of CGHS.
To undertake any other activity for the welfare of the pensioners and senior citizens, consistent with the objectives of the Association.
